It's been a long time since I've waded into the creek. Thought you might like to see what I just finished up. Queen sized bed with night stand and armoire. Also did a 4 drawer chest but pics didn't turn out too well

Very interesting color/finish. I hope it was intentional. Looks like a lot of work.

Greg,
Welcome back.
Interesting furniture.
Didn't I see you on a episode of "Woodturning Workshop" with Tim Yoder?

So much to learn, so little time.....
It was an intentional finish....customer loves it. And yes you did see me on Tim's show...that one was done in 2006
Kewel work, Greg!!

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
Greg have you seen the wood working at the housing for visitors to Tinker Air Base? Vert impresive with a Southwest flavor.
Haven't been to Tinker in years....might have to make a trip down there sometime, just for kicks....I was stationed there from 78-86
Very cool and quite different!
Of all the laws Brandolini's may be the most universally true.
Deep thought for the day:
Your bandsaw weighs more when you leave the spring compressed instead of relieving the tension.
I like the form.
I like the details, carving and proportion.
I like the fact that you can tell that the furniture was built very well.
I like the finish on the two "pottery peices" on the corners.
Not a huge fan of the overall finish though. Different strokes, and all that, but definitely distinctive.
Having had to finish things for customers with finish I really disliked before, what are your thoughts on the finish you would normally use on something like that?
Making furniture teaches us new ways to remove splinters.
The finish on the footboard is still wet, that's why it's shiney...If I were to build this for me, I'd probably not do the silver paint or the half rounds on the panel corners. I would have either done a natural satin finish without stain or maybe a light walnut....this is too dark for me, personally.
