Anyone ever build a music box?

I don't mean those little jewelry-box type things that when you open the lid the music starts. I'm talking about the ones that have the steel discs with the holes punched in them... they have a crank in the front you use to wind them up... like a Regina or similar. I was just wondering if anyone knew where to get the works so I can build a cabinet around it.

    THANKS!

Tom, I believe Porter is the only one who makes disc-style music boxes and they do not sell movements. Sankyo sells large high quality cylinder-style options but they are not cheap.

I have a Reuge movement and plan I purchased through Rockler. They don't sell it anymore. I think you can still get the movement through Reuge.

There have been some complaints about the more recent Reuge movements (quality has gone downhill).
