    Lignum Vitae?? Ornaments

In another post I asked about Lignum Vitae and the way it changes colors. Here are two segmented ornaments that were made from the same stick of wood. From the info posted in the other link I would guess that this is probably the Argentine version of the wood for two reasons. 1, it seems to turn green fairly fast and 2, because of the cost of the real stuff I doubt woodcraft would be putting it in a grab bag box of wood. But anyway, here are two ornaments turned from the wood and a close up of each to show the color change. The brown one is freshly turned, the greener one was turned about 4 days ago.

I can't tell you which kind of wood you have there, but I love the way the ornaments turned out. Have you ever considered a little tutorial on the process?

David - Curt did put together a short tutorial on his ornaments: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=98860

Very nice work on these Curt! The slight green tinge is in keeping with the traditional colors of red and green. Looking forward to seeing more!
