Smile What tools did you receive as gifts? (with pictures please)

Santa, my wife, and my daughter Kathleen combined to give me:

    -two Veritas Hold-Down clamps

    -a Veritas Large Saddle Square

    -a GRR-Ripper GR-200

-a Kreg Profesional Pocket hole kit

I am happy to observe that all these tools are made in either Canada or the USA.

    What I got for Christmas

Frank......I got a Powermatic jointer, a Powermatic Bandsaw, a new shop vacuum and a lettering kit from Rockler. Sorry no pictures yet of the shop vac or the lettering kit. I also got four Timberwolf bandsaw blades. The riser kit is in the mail. This is from santa(me) to myself. Like I told my grandson, I don't think santa can find my place. Rod in Appleton, WA

No tools yet, but I might go shopping on Monday .

@ Rod: Could you tell your Santa that he missed to drop some tools at my house?

@ Frank: Sorry for hijacking this thread but have you had a chance to test your Deltex?

    Regards,

    Christian

I have used the sander on a couple of small projects and am happy with it. It certainly gets into corners well! But, altogether, I have only used the Deltex sander for about one hour and there has been very little variety in the tasks that I have used it for. So, I don't really think that I have TESTED it.

    Got one returning one

    Frank,

Wife/santa got me a Jet dust collector, but I'm gonna return it and get the one with the canister.

Son and daughter-inlaw and grand daughter got me a gift card from Rockler, probably gonna get a set of chisels with it or some router bits.

Rod's gloat left some bruises but I got some nice goodies from Santa LOML (love the Lee Valley wish list) and an earlier "tool" for another of my hobbies.

    WOW!

I read on another forum about a woman who did this for one day. Can I inquire as to how much a day with David Marks might cost? (Not that I can afford it, I am sure.) The lady said it was money well spent, she had a terrific time, David and his wife were very nice, and she learned a lot. What a great deal for you!

One of these old things but since I don't have a picture of it, I picked this one, as it is very much like mine, but not as nice as mine.

I got a MiniMax CU410 Elite combo machine - been drooling and planning for months, and under the tree was a certificate saying that it should clear customs on Monday and be here some time next week.

I promise a picture of my own machine when it arrives - or maybe a month later when all the cosmoline is off it . 8 1/2 foot sliding table with outrigger for the 12 inch saw (with scoring blade) and shaper, plus 16 inch jointer, 16 inch planer, and mortiser. Retirement starts in January, if you can call this retirement -- feels more like gone to heaven!

With the expectation that this was coming, I recently picked up a used Steff power feeder for it. Sweet! Already used it to cut some crown mouldings on my router table. It will be nicer with a 5 hp shaper under the power feeder.

Wow, Charlie, that is my dream machine. Congratulations. You are about to start living with a monster.

    Merry Christmas to everyone.
