Ridgid 12v Cordless Drill

Hi All,
I was in Home Depot and saw they have a Ridgid 12v cordless drill with a 1/2" chuck 2 batteries charger and case for $99. I am wondering if any of you have this drill? Is it a good buy or should I stay away from it?

I've had that drill for about a year now. I use it a lot and like it. Haven't had any problems. I bought it when they had the introductory offer of free lifetime replacement on all parts including batteries. That was a deal that was too good to pass up.

It's worked fine for me. Doesn't have the wrist twisting torque of my DeWalt 14.4V but it also doesn't have the weight of the DeWalt. The rigid is the drill I use most often for driving screws and with 2 batteries it has kept up with everything I've done with it.

I'm another satisfied Ridgid drill customer. Mine is the 18v X2, but I have been totally impressed with how it works. I'd say go for it. Jim.

I have the drill. So far, so good. Has almost as much torque as my Craftsman 19.2 but is lighter.

Dave, I have the 12V Ridgid you speak of. Let's put it this way: I also have the 12V Festool, an 18v C-man and an 18v Ryobi. The ONLY two, which see regular use are the Fes & Ridgid! The chucks on the other two are pure, unadulterated, first class GARBAGE! The chuck on the other two locks any bit I put in very well and it stays put. The recharge cycle is real fast, as well, though not quite up to the Festool. I wouldn't hesitate picking up one for that kind of $$!
