    The other advantage of course is if you make a bit of wood to the wrong dimension you can just stick it into the pipe and it is disposed of never to be seen again. This thing has got real possibilities.

    I did the math for a electric blower/vacuum, a blower that put out a 200 + mph wind are only turning about 1735 RPM, are your engine running at idle speed ?

    The impeller is quite heavy, assuming because it can crush 2" limbs. I could theoretically idle it down, but would see no point in that. Would run it at normal top speed to get max airflow. I don't think the dust concentration would be any worse than vac up dried leaves and the muffler is opposite the exhaust of the bin. I have some hose ordered and am going to run a short piece to the band saw. Try this out and see what I get.
