    Golf - Playing Around

I live next to the green of a wide-open par 5, and I seem to collect several buckets a year of the less than perfect shots. Looking around the garage, I remembered something similar I had seen posted elsewhere and thought I would give it a whirl. My wife says it is too heavy to write with, but oh well. Thinking of putting it in a cast-off / old persimmon club head as a pen holder.

Due to the shortness of the ball (upper part), I used an extra Euro tube for the "tee" to get some extra length. Tee is made of a scrap of maple and I had enough pen parts laying around to complete it.

    Comments, etc. welcome!

Great idea, now if you get tired of it as a pen just take it to the fairway and the ball is already teed up.

That's going to look funny in your shirt pocket.

Maybe you could hollow it to lighten it up!

Looks good Michael and I like your idea of the persimmon club head.

A very interesting pen! Sometimes what looks like it is impractical, can turn out to be a good attention getter. Nice job!

Add an appropriate business card holder and you have a great desk set for gift giving, maybe a matching letter opener....
