    Simple toys

Our 3 years old grandson will be staying with us for a few days and I plan to make some simple wooden toys for him while he is with me in the workshop. He might glue or paint part of it himself. Has anybody ideas for simple toys or do you know where I can find some plans for small projects?

I can always make some cubes for him but it would be fun with something more exciting.

The paddle boat is a great toy but not sure about painting it. I make and sell many toys for kids this age. Here are some photos:

I make simple stuff for my kids (ages 4 and 6). They want to paint everything with random splotches of paint.

It does not really matter what the toys look like. The kids are happy. And it does not matter what kind of wood you use, the end result looks the same after the paint job. So use the cheapest wood that you have.
