    PLEASE ! help your moderators

With the recent surge in new members and a dramatic rise in the number of posts/day we (moderators) could use your help. Since SMC's inception we have always considered this a "self moderated" forum. I am now seeing a need to edit, move, e-mail, PM posters to point and correct various violations of the SMC Terms of Service.

The most common violations are the following:

    - New members not using a real first and last name
    - Including a direct link to the member's web site in their signature line.
    - Direct links to e-bay and other auction sites.
    - Not using the appropriate forum for the subject of the post.
    - Religious/political oriented thread/post subjects.
    - Commercial oriented threads.
    - Miscellaneous minor infractions

I urge all new members to read the SMC Terms of Service and that all other members review them to refresh their understanding.

We are rapidly approaching 5,000 registered bona fide members and any help you can provide to the moderators would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance! ! !
