I was looking thru my scrap plywood for a sink cutout to make a false bottom for my lunchbox planer to plane thin stock and happened on a really, really old cut out with formica top that I must have scrounged many, many years ago. It's actually plywood instead of the compressed sawdust stuff, and there is absoulutely no cup to it. I lucked out again I guess.
