Two halves do not equal one (Delta Uni-fence)

So after a recent Unisaw purchase at auction, I find myself now with two Delta Unifences, however BOTH did not come with rails.

The OEM rails are PRICEEEEY! Is there anyway to make custom rails that will work with these fences?

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Pay the money... get the real thing. The 30" rail is $100 at The Saw Center. I dont know how you could make up something that will hold up and give you the accuracy you are going to want.

Sorry Steve, the Delta Unifence rail is a unique aluminum extrusion--nothing off the shelf.

You could post a WTB (Want To Buy) in the SMC Classifieds. Surely there is someone who has replaced a 30" fence with a 50" fence, or vice versa. You could also sell one of your fences to help break even. Good Luck!

you won't believe how easy that thing is to install and align once you get the rail! now i just have to move my digital proscale over from my old powermatic biesemeyer clone... btw you can craigslist the extra unit - that's where i bought mine!

Try Peachtree Woodworking. I bought their fence to replace the original because I think it is more versitle. It has an UHMW face that is replacable, & T-slots for feather boards, stops, etc.
Here is a link to the fence:

I haven't used the OEM fence since buying theirs.

Not sure where you live but I've seen rails and fences of a couple different brands including Biesemeyer come up on CL.
    I drink, therefore I am.

Found a source for Uni-fence parts, but 'dunno' about the pricing:
