I call it dragon cable cause when its laid out it looks like a dragon with a head and tail.
Its a design I have been working on for a while. The idea is that you can install the track then insert the larger cables like connectors without having to thread them through the cable. You then instert the little clips. You can still tread smaller cables after retainers are put in place.
I still have a few small kinks to work out like its crash abiliity. Currently the links are held in place with little machine screws which work very well under normal conditions. But the other day I crashed the gantry into a wood storage shelf at full speed. (this snc is on casters)
The bad news is the dragon cable disinitgrated like an indy car on race day. The good news is that there was no damage. I just had to snap things back in place.
