    Ideas for rough sawn plank

    Hi everyone,
I need some ideas for using a plank my son gave me. he works in a barn wood recycling facility and brought home this 5/4" X 16" X 60" rough sawn white oak plank. The plank is unique showing circlular saw kerf marks I would like to keep in the design. I thought about making a rustic bench made with hand shaved legs or a rustic coffee table but was wondering if anyone had any better ideas?

If it is rough, I would hesitate to use it flat as you describe. My wife is a bit of a clean freak and would cringe at the thought of trying to keep something like that dust free. I would consider using it vertically. Attach some hooks and call it a hat/coat rack. Use it as the vertical board at the back of a buffet top?
Another thought occurs to me: How about a sofa table with glass over the plank?
Have fun, sounds like a great find.
