mick i have one of the first few made, milled a 96" x 36" cherry counter top with it last night, it is one excellent piece of machinery, when i look at it i compare it to my 98 heritage springer Harley Davidson, American iron, built to last,

    Mick,

I suppose you have a plan for unloading the new Cobra. Did you rent a fork lift?

Joey if you read this I finally got my new pallet forks for my tractor. I wish I had them when we unloaded my Stinger

    Keith,
The problem I have is the crate is too large to go into the back of a U- Haul, the crate size is 84" wide x 78" high x 144" long. The U-Haul website states that the door opening is 75" high, the size of the U-Haul truck doesn't change the size of the door opening. I plan on using a flat bed tow truck, fork lift the crate on at the transport depot and sliding it off into my workshop.

    I shall post pictures.

Jim, I think you need to get a BSA or Norton bike.

    Mick,

A roll back wrecker is a good choice, I hadn't thought of using one for moving a large CNC Router.

Well my new Cobra X3 is finally in my workshop.

I hired a flat bed tow truck to pick up the Cobra from the transport depot. At the depot they loaded the machine onto the flat bed using a fork lift

During the unloading process we found out that it was better to remove the side and top off the crate, Drive driver maneuvered the flat bed in front of my workshop, tilted the truck bed up and nothing happened, we hoked up the cable winch and slowly pulled the machine down the truck bed.

The machine was 3/4 into my workshop and off the flat bed, so I paid the driver and off he went. I installed casters on the legs of the table that were in my shop and using the old roman method, we slowly moved the machine, inch by inch into the workshop.

The whole process took 4 hours from the time at the depot to closing my workshop door. We then spent 3 more hours cutting up the crate and loading it into my pickup.

Sorry the some pictures are dark.
