    Jet Off-White Paint?

I'm going to start building a mobile base for my JJP-12HH today or tomorrow so that its ready when the machine shows up. I usually paint them black but I was thinking if there was a close match available in spray can's maybe I'd go crazy and paint it Jet white. I don't have anything Jet in my shop right now to compare to. Anyone know of a stock color available at Ace, Do-It-Best, Sherwin-Williams or one of the big box chains that would be a close match? Maybe even a touch up color from Auto Zone or O'Reily though that could get expensive. I want a spray can and its not worth messing with custom--if not I'll just do Boring Black again.

Edit: Well, shoot, guess I should have searched first:

If you choose a brush on paint Ace can match it just take a painted small part from your tool. I did this for my Jet lathe. Jim Gerus

Call Jet! I have a Jet lathe that arrived with the paint pretty knicked up. Called Jet and within 2 or 3 days, I received a can of touch-up spray paint that was a perfect match at no cost.

There's a Rustoleom rattle can that's close. I don't remember which one. How can there be so many whites???

edit: I just saw your link, Matt. Canvas White sounds right.

On cars most whites aren't even white--more like light gray's that look white. White is too white.

The white on my JJP-12 is different than the white on my 1642 Lathe. Both were bought and manufactured this year.
    The JJP-12 is a little more yellow'ish.
The white on my Grizzly Polar Bear BS is yet another shade of white.

I could go REALLY crazy and paint it Jet red. There's only one red, right?

Actually, now that I think about it one of the guys in our club painted his red after one of our mobile base building workshops. Turns out one was for his Jet jointer--looks pretty cool.

See, now this is where being color blind comes in handy.

I'd take a digital pic of my Jet and send it to you, but who knows if it would turn out correctly due to RGB interpretation. If it were me, I'd go for red or black.
Where did I put that tape measure...

Red it is. My Do-It-Best only had one of the Ivory and even if they had more it may or may not have matched.

Yeah, I have a couple cans of that Rustoleum Canvas White too and it is a dead ringer for my Jet paint.
