was looking for a nice project for my brother and brother in law for xmas and found this valet on lumberjocks.
The bodies of the valet are made from a nice piece of figured cherry and the top is curly maple. The finish is oil. I don’t know how to cut dovetails so i just used a pinned rabbet for the front and the back which I think turned out pretty nice. I got the leather from an xxl leather jacket from the goodwill for 5 dollars. This jacket will provide me with enough leather for plenty of boxes.
