PM2800 Drill Press - solution for always lit up and shining?

The switch and rpm indicator stays illuminated when the PM 2800 DP is plugged in but not turned on.

Has anyone put a solution into place with a master switch on the so it isnt illuminated until you get ready to use it?

After a little research and taking a chance on the 2800 (with some of the bad reviews here at SMC), I love the 2800, no vibrations, excellent fit/finish, no runout, except for what you are trying to fix. I have just been unplugging it when I'm done for now. I may look into taking off the front switch cover and figure out how to wire the digital lights into the on-off switch. My 2700 shaper is the same way, but that is on a 220 wall switch that is always off anyway as an added safety feature when changing cutters.

I have just been unplugging it. I have considered wiring in a switch, but haven't done it.
