    Dick, I sealed it first with lacquer sanding sealer and then used antique oil in a rubbed-in-wiped-off application.

    That's awesome. The vertical walls are a perfect canvas to display a very special piece of wood. The minimal finish is also a great decision. It all comes together to make a real keeper. It will be hard to top this one.
