shop fox/ w&h profile on 8" base?

I know the shop fox or the W&H both only do a 6-3/4" profile, but can the base stick out the side when only doing 2.5" of profile on 8" tall base board 3/4" thick? From what I have seen it looks like the rollers are the same height as the housing. I have looked at various videos but seen nothing that addresses this issue. Maybe I missed something. Thank you.

yes you can hang the material out the side, no problem.
