Best lightweight tool belt for shop work

I've been searching off and on a long time for a comfortable option that is basically a very light weight tool belt, a cross between an apron and a tool belt. I find it good to have the pockets off to the side the way you can set them up with a tool belt (unlike an apron), but all the belts I see are tool bulky. Has anyone come across such a product?

How much are you looking to hold? I use a couple of square pouches with belt loops I bought from the Army Navy Store on my regular belt, and repurposed a canvas carrier for a leatherman. I was going to make a custom one, but I ran out of fabric making chisel rolls.

Personally, I love the hammer loop and extra pockets on Carhartts.

I use a single leather pouch with a spring steel belt clip -- also to keep small items at hand, but to the side. I added a strip of leather with loops across the top of the rear to hold pencils, my 6" rule and marking knife more securely. 4" square and odd bits just get dropped in this detachable pocket. Got it at the big box. Normally hangs off the side of the bench. Goes with me when I'm more mobile.

I'm more inclined to buy tools, so I can get back into the shop.

The shop apron shown has mesh-bottom pockets so that sawdust won't collect.
The "fire hose" cotton duck is nearly stain repellant (I always end up with a glue line on my clothes).

There is also a belt version...http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/d...cessor=content

I used to get made fun of on the jobsite for wearing one of those. Home Depot used to have a little canvass two pocket deal...or maybe it was three with a larger pouch in the middle....but it was like $5 or something like that. The little ties are lame but you could find a better way to fasten than that.
