    Mahogany Mailbox

Here's a little project I completed last weekend. It's all mahogany, and all from scraps pulled out of a cabinet shop's dumpster. I'm terrible about that. I wish I had stood on a stool to take the pic. The top has some very nice quited grain that you really can't see well here. And considering how bad the paint is on my front porch and how messy it is, this is kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. But it sure beats the old ratty metal box I had.

    Enjoy,
    Dan

It's nice to see what you can do with something that was meant for a landfill. Even if the porch needs a little paint, I'm sure the mailman will appreciate it.
