    Rustic Cedar Bed

    After we cut down my friend's 70' cedar, I took the trunks and we had them cut at a sawmill. The headboard posts and the footboard crossbar came from Steve Jenkins via his neighbor. Definitely the heaviest one yet, the headboard assembly weighs in around 450 pounds! Bed is constructed with a pedestal frame that is not connected to the headboard, rails or footboard. Took me about 11 weeks of working a few hours a weekend to get this from rough wood to finished product. It is set up for a king sized bed and measures 8' wide and 7.5' long.

    Very nice Kelly! I was over at Steve's the other day and he said that he had found some cedar for you. Love these rustic styled beds.
