    Cherry Crib

This is my first try at making any kind of furniture. I used all rough cut and resawed it to the size I needed.

Jim - that is a really nice piece, nicely done. What is the finish that is on it if you don't mind sharing?

It has a water base finish that I sprayed on with a hvlp sprayer. That was also a first.

You obviously don’t have any talent for woodworking and should give it up now.

    Seriously, that turned out beautifully.
It’s hard to tell from the pictures, is that a carving or appliqué?

Real nice work on that crib Jim. Were the slats all done with a router and jig or done free hand with a bandsaw?

I rough cut the slats on a band saw then I used a router and a jig. It was still a pain in the neck, there's 52 slats. Thanks for all the coments

No kidding! This crib rocks. I might as well throw in the towel now. Thanks to Jim I've lost all pride in my first project (which was also a crib).
