    FWIW, Waterlox recommends using the "Original" finish for the first coat, not "Satin".
    I think 3 coats total would make a nice finish for most floors. This will look traditional - more like something done 50 years ago. Not a huge build-up of finish, but enough.

    Whatever the conversation was when you called Waterlox, I don't think you understood it correctly. And I think that you're not too interested in learning since everyone here seems to be wrong.

    If you want a thick built-up surface film then put on the poly.
