    Beaufort Air Show 2011

Beaufort, SC. Just thought I'd share a few of my favorite pics from the day. The Blue Angels performance was outstanding, as always!

I love the air shows and still don't know how in the world they can fly like they do. I have it lucky, I work for Fedex at our hub in Fort Worth were they have the air show every year. I get to watch all the practices the day before the real shows, which is a complete run though of the show.
I go up on the roof of our main sort building and watch it from there. I was on vacation last year so I missed the show but in 2009 I was on the roof and one of the Blue Angles buzzed me and waved as he did it.
In 2008 we has the Thunder Birds and they are just as good I think.

    Belinda,

As I worked at US Naval Air Stations for 6 years while in the Navy, I got to see the Blue Angels very often and never tired of them. They are incredible.

I love the Blue Angels. I am originally from Pensacola, FL and I grew up watching them practice from my back yard. They came for Thunder Over Louisville a few years back. It was one of the few times I braved the crowds to come see the air show. Well that is if you can say sitting on an upper floor of the tallest building on the Ohio river waterfront braving crowds (-: Thunder is a prelude to this little event we have here the first saturday in May, it's called the Kentucky Derby. I hope that some day in the not to distant future they will bring in the Thunder Birds. I think it would be rather fitting.
