    Wine Stopper Question

What do you use for finish on stoppers? Because of dealing with alcohol I question using anything that is an alcohol base or wax. Thanks

I just use CA Dick. Never had a problem...even in the fridge for those rare bottles go un-finished!! WoP goes well over the top of CA too. I use it on kitchen utensils all the time; pizza cutters, cheese slicers, basting brushes...so on.

I use Antique Oil on mine. Haven't had any problems that I know of.

I use a penetrating oil followed by buffing and a application of Rennaisance Wax.

I use a brush-on lacquer. Works great and can be applied while on the lathe!
