    Krenov cabinet

This piece is Eastern walnut, sapele pommele veneer and hardwood for the door exterior, Brazilian rosewood for the door interior and back panel.

The carcase was put together with dowels as Krenov was wont to use. Knife hinges were something new for me and a bit of a challenge to make sure the doors fit well.

The tapered legs and the curved "feet" were also a new design element for me. This is a mother's day gift for my mom. Wet sanded with BL0/MS/Urethane mix and a top coat of satin poly.

    Stunning build.

Hard to think of a more worthy reason to build a piece this beautiful than .... Mom.

Whatever you might have put her through, during your teen years () ... this should more than make up for !
