    free standing closet

This is a free standing closet or armoire I built for a clients office. It is made of sapele and the inlay is mother of pearl, white oak, walnut burl and abalone, the handles are turned out of walnut. The inlay is a combination of marquetry and inlay, the flowers and leaves were done as inlay and the stems were done as marquetry.
    Thanks for looking

Real sweet piece Thomas. That inlay/marquetry really sets it off.

I am really digging the stand out straight grain!

  6. I absolutely love it. Grain and material selection is really, really nice. What are the dimensions of the finished piece?

In this part of the country we call them wardrobes, and I have made thousands of them, literally.
But none of the ones I have made look anywhere near as nice as yours.
    Fine work!

    Beautiful piece!!
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. My desk is a work station.
