    West coast candle box

    Here is a new idea i came up with.Left over wood from a table.I dovetailed this candle box with ebony inlay on top nothing fancy.Dont even know if i have candles to fit just an idea.My grandson vincent was waiting patiently for me to finish.

    That's probably the best looking candle box I've seen.

    Now, I will have to try my hand at something like it.

    You don't really keep candles in it, do you?

    That is really great work. Are the dovetails cut by hand or did you use a magnetic guide? They look perfect. I'm still on "training wheels" and need to do some projects like this to work of the nerve to take them off.

    I cut them on my bandsaw.My adria dovetail saw is going out to be sharpen.Or i should say its needs to be fixed after i tryd to sharpen it.Have you tryd the bandsaw?

    What a great box. You say you don't use it for candles? As excited as your grandson looks, you might consider using it as a small toy box for him. I'm sure he would love it.
