After waiting almost 4 weeks, my order of 5 meters worth of surface mount led strips arrived and I was able to put together the shadowbox frame. Wiring went well and the power jack fit really nicely into the frame. The only thing I would like to add is a nice on/off switch which would install easily and look reasonably nice as well. I'm thinking something along the lines of a round rocker switch or push-button.
