    Many sided Huon Pine Burl

My first pen so many years gone was using my first love very old 2 to three thousand yr old Huon Pine. This continues today and it also gives me a solid work out using my design Pen Mill with X and Y axis handwheels. I set the gibs firm for the top accuracy on the very heavy base table.

    Kind regards Peter.DSCF0008-1.jpg

    Cool effect and beautiful wood.

How does it feel in your hand considering it is not round?

Peter, I like all types of pine and this has some great hidden gems in it like the little "Eyes" subtle grain structure and a wonderful golden color. The facets add some nice added tactile experience in the pen and it won't roll around much!

    Great job,

    Jeff
