    Smoke and Motors

I'm in the market for a 3 hp motor. So, I went by my local shop that sells and repairs motors. I found a sign posted on the wall that I thought I would share with you. I mean, it makes perfect sense, and explains a lot. Don't you agree?

    Notice to all Customers
Contrary to popular belief, motors do not run on electricity. They run
on smoke. All motors are precharged with smoke at the factory. The
electricity is required to keep the smoke inside. Once the smoke
gets out, the motor is no good...

    I drink, therefore I am.

I always thought motors ran on elves, the electricity is needed to feed the elves and when they get angry they turn into smoke and leave.

thats my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Yes, this also applies to computers, if you accidentally remove the magic white smoke the computer no longer works, I have several computers that I "repaired" but accidentally let out the white smoke after a fine repair job.

  9. Rod, that’s not a flicker; it’s a random headlight modulator.

Know why the British don't build computers?
They can't get them to leak oil.

I can confirm this because I bought a stereo amplifier on Ebay and when I opened the package, it smelled heavily of tobacco.
