    Beveled Pocket

Hey folks. I was going to design a name plate for my desk and I wanted to build the base as well. What I was thinking was designing the base so that it had a beveled or angled pocket so that when the plate is put in it sits at a natural angle. I have played around with vcarve pro but I can't seem to find the right option. Some mention doing multiple fluting paths but that does not seem to be working for me. Any thoughts on this? I could always make the plate and then table saw at an angle the back of the plate, thus creating the display angle but I want to challenge myself to do it on the CNC. Plus I can think of a few other needs for an angled pocket such as a base for an ipad / phone. Maybe I am over thinking it here but I am stumped.

Mount your base at an angle and then cut your pocket

Yea I had though of that as well. Probably the easiest and simplest, I just thought there may be a way to do it in software.
