    Blue Vase

Well here is the blue vase. It is 6 1/2" high and 4" across. Guess it is ok as it is now in the LOML's display cabinet. Not sure about the blue myself although it doesn't look bad maybe it just not my color. It is finished with several light coats of lacquer. I am going to make one more of this size and experiment with some colors. Hopefully won't mess it up.

I like it. The scalloped edge really sets it off. What is the wood and finish that you used?

Bernie, this one looks good, too. You need to post a pic of the red and blue together!

  6. Ditto what JK said........this is a nice beginning to what could be a wonderful series!

Very nice Bernie. Really elegant. Lets see. You turn your turnings and then her turnings and her turnings then.... well there are 24 hours in a day!

Thanks everyone. I forgot to add the wood is pecan which was just plain so decided to dye it with transtint dyes. The finish is 7 or 8 light coats of lacquer. Forgot but here is the red and blue together.
