    a welcome respite

It took long enough, but cooler weather has arrived in Oklahoma. 90 degress today at 3:30pm. Time to break out the parka and gloves. After suffering through 100 degree heat for over 70 days this summer, the air actually has a chill to it. No rain yet, but hopefull we will get some soon. Last measurable rain was in May, but I hear it is raining north of us in OKC.

It has been hotter than normal in northern Indiana but nothing compared to what you have experienced in areas of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas and Nebraska. You have had temperatures over 100°F everyday and some over 110°F. I do not know how anyone stands it or the AC bill that you probably have to pay. Hope it stays cool for awhile.

We've gone from roasting hot here in Minneapolis to almost cold weather in a matter of less than a week. It was actually very pleasant outside today with low dewpoints and temps in the high 70s. Much better than 75 to 80 degree dewpoints.

It was great for a few min. in Fort Worth it was about 99 and then within about 30 min. it went to 80 and it was so nice for about 2 hours. But then it went right back up to 97.

Bill, did you get any of the rain? We got about 10 sprinkles at work in Weatherford. LOML said just enough here to get her windshield wet and messy. But the momentary cooler temps were nice. Jim.

WOW, you got 10 sprinkles, we only got 10 drops....
People at the hub were acting like kids, me included, going out and just enjoy the 80 degrees.
