    Jewelry Chest

I'm looking to build my wife a jewelry chest for Christmas - the kind that is bigger than a box, smaller than an armoire, sits on a dresser, and holds necklaces on a swing-out door. My google image search pulls up way to many mass-manufactured examples.

Anyone have pics of ones you built?

Check out this months issue of Woodsmith. I believe it has just what you are looking for.

Search for "jewelry cabinet for my wife" or search my posts to find one I made last winter.

It doesn't have a swinging door that holds necklaces, but it does have storage for them.

By the way, she had it full in no time.

    Good luck,

    Bill

Here's one I built for my wife. It is made from curly cherry and curly maple. It stands about 16" high.
