    Birch burl

Saw this in a corner of a wood suppliers warehouse. and asked what it was
BIRCH BURL cut with an Alaskan chainsaw mill. The 100 pound shephard is
in the photo for size comparison. They are 4 and 5 inches thick. Is this a gloat?

I think it depends how much you paid for them but no matter what, it's gorgeous stuff.

I haven't come across any birch burls in the woods yet..... but I am looking. Couldn't imagine finding one anywhere near that size! Great looking stuff!
