    Bed Frame Wood

What kind of wood would be the most cost effective to build a full size bed frame that is painted white?

I plan on using Jeff Miller's 1999 book on beds for my design.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kim

Popular. A little heavier than Pine and paints well.

Poplar would be one choice but I think maple would be the best choice.

You can want them to be made of real wood, as in real solid wood not particle board or composite wood or pressed wood or plywood or any kind of wood that is engineered or manufactured with glue. Homeowners have been urged to ensure they have wooden bed frames in place rather than alternatives made from other materials.
