    Oak settle, WIP photos

    Here are a few WIP pics of the settle I'm making as a commission. One of the sides is the one I damaged in a router accident earlier - see thread 'Oh Bother!'.

    The rail elements and the sides are more or less ready to assemble and the two most prominent panels are glued up, planed and ready for the final step of cutting the raised panel profiles. Some nice ray fleck on these, does not show well in the photo, but hopefully it will when it's all assembled and the finish is on. I'm hesitating between using the shaper for a curved profile and cutting straight profiles on the TS - both have worked well in the past, it's more a question of style.

    Nice project. Some nice rays in the bottom photo. If they all look like that it will be stunning.
