    Small palm plane nearly done

This is a small palm plane I have been working on. Still needs a bit of work, especially the surface finish, but it's taking shape.
No iron in place yet as I still need to make one. I also plan to make a small palm handle that will attach via. the threaded hole in the top of the ramp.

Sorry for the poor photos, but the quarter gives an idea of size. Its made from hot rolled mild steel. I used mild steel pins to join the parts (I'm still practicing my metal dovetail skills). The front infill is honduran rosewood. Sole is a double convex shape.

This was made more as an experiment and not so much a real tool, but I hope it will still be useful. I just like playing around with different shapes.

Nice work, I like rounded bottom planes.

Hope to see some shavings soon.
