Here is the small settle I'm building in oak (a commission). It just remains to stain and polish it.
Main structure is in 30mm solid oak, the raised panels are 20mm. The cross members are fitted to the sides with wedged through tenons. Lower back and floor panels are 15mm oak, half lapped and pinned. Since taking the photos, I've rounded off the top back corners which I felt were a bit out of character.
I'm quite pleased with the ray fleck on the top back panel - I went to a lot of trouble to select suitable stock for this as it is so prominent.
It weighs a ton !
