    Turkey Call

Here is a double sided turkey call I'm making. It's a pot style made from walnut with textured glass surface on one side and a slate surface on the opposite side with a smaller glass "sound board" snadwiched between the two. The striker is a one piece style made from hard maple. They are really popular to give hunters for Christmas. The call is approximately 4" in diameter and 7/8" thick. The striker is a little less that 8" long with the thinner part 5/16" and the thicker portion 3/4".IMG_0336_2.jpg

Cool..how's it sound? I want to start making some pot calls for the upcoming spring season. Any pointers on where you got your glass?

Nice looking calls Bob. Do you have sound holes drilled around the circumference of the call?

Yes Jack, they are difficult to see in the photo, but there are eight 3/8" holes spaced around the call.
