    Logan Mission style bunk bed

My wife & kids like this bunk bed style after looking at a few other designs. I like its smooth transition from full size at the bottom to twin size on top.

The size of this project really pushes the limits of my small shop (1CG). The construction is pretty straight forward. The wood is 8/4 and 5/4 alder. I finished the beds with a coat of oil/varnish mix, two spray coats of shellac tinted with Transtint honey amber/golden brown, and a final padded coat of thin shellac.

As always, I appreciate your comments/feedback.

Built a set of bunk beds myself many years ago for my girls. Your outcome is awesome. Love the wood choice also, but Alder is not available commercially in the east. I'm sure the munchkins will love it.

Looks superb ! My only issue with it is that you and your partner would have to be very quiet with someone sleeping in the bunk above !!!!
