    Natural edge walnut form

    This is a form Ive done a couple of times and really enjoy. Walnut natural edge measuring 10 inches wide and 8 inches tall. Fineshed with spray laquer.

    Beautiful, and really out there. That undercut must be a real challenge.

  5. Man, is that a beauty! I love the undercut and what a superb flawless cut. The natural edg e is one of my most favorite, I'v got to try one with a curve like this, thanks for the pics.

    I love this form! Nicely done! I'm not sure I like the look of the bottom, but it beats sanding! I'm gonna have to try one of these at some point.

    Thanks all for the replies and feedback. The foot is something i have been doing to all my natural edge forms. Keeps it rustic...its something John Jordan does to some of his forms. I did it to a few of mine and now my wife encourages me to do it to all my turnings. I just got a vacuum system and it hurts my heart to carve the bottom of a turning that i can now vacuum chuck and turn something smooth and acceptable to all my turning friends. Hope you all can accept my rustic bottom and i appreciate all of your comments.
