Wow, Jason. That looks nice!! In addition to the beautiful undercut and finish, I really like how you did the bottom. I agree that it keeps with the rustic theme. This general form will be on my to do list.

Regarding your comment about turning something acceptable to your turning friends: the c&c on this forum is VERY helpful, and I have benefited immensely by the eye and experience of my fellow creekers, but if you like a particular form or embellishment, then who cares what we think? In the end, it's you piece.

    Jason:

I like the rustic bottom - did you use one of those rotary chisels in a Dremel tool?

    WOW!
    1, for the shape,
    2, for the finish,
3, for keeping the bark on!

Okay, Jason...I'm not really a fan of NE bowls, but this one is too cool for words. Great job. Love it!

That's amazing, makes my brain hurt trying to see how it was situated in the tree.

I am with Mike Cruz on not really being a fan of natural edge forms... However I must say that this one grabbed my attention and if I came across it in a gallery I would be hard pressed not to be bringing it home. The foot treatment is not one I have seen before... still on the fence about it. Beautiful piece.
