    Corel Draw scripts

Don't know if any one has tried creating a script for Corel Draw but there are some cool resources on the web

This is the one I've been using. I don't use them often but every now and then they sure come in handy. There is a quasi-nesting script that will fill a defined space with as many objects that will fit within your spacing parameters.

I just found this one and need to do a bit of exploring myself.

I've found a few good resources--I'll see if I can dig them up.
As a side, I've created dozens of CorelScripts and welcome requests for assistance in automating corel tasks using scripting.

Some of the more recent scripts:
    - Script to duplicate objects into a radial array
    - Script to create radial tick marks with different tick lengths (like a ruler.. er, linear scale)
    - Script to create multiple sheets of plastic name badges by reading names from an external file, and automatically resizing based on the dimensions of the name.

I'm brainstorming ideas now for a script which will re-"sort" complex vector objects from the inside out for vector cutting in a logical manner. Corel currently saves vector shapes in the order they were created. While Epilog's print driver will do inside-first, outside-last vector reordering (vector sorting), I'd like to do the same thing for vector files imported into the ShopBot Partwizard. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement something at least rudimentary.

    Aaron,

I'd sure like to see your text resizing script; I've been fiddling with this off & on for several months. I hope you mean VBA(?). How could I get a copy? I'd be willing to pay for the source code(?).

VBA? Yes. Pay? No need. I'll see if I can dig it up..

The text resizing script did the following:

    1. Read a list of names from a text file
    2. Generated a 12x24 sheet of ~3" nametags from the object on screen (template)
    3. Went through each nametag and changed the text to a name read from the file
    4. Calculated the extents of the text, and resized to fit in the nametag.
    5. Re-grouped the nametag object.
    6. Once the 12x24 sheet was filled up, it generated a new "page".

It was a _serious_ time saver, since we burned a few hundred of these things.
