    The more I look at this, the more I like it Mark...so simple, but it goes well beyond that! Kind of a NE bowl form on top, so it's like coming home!!

    Mark,
    A very neat piece. I assume that the center of rotation for the turned top is somewhere near the bottom? Also, the hollowing near the top looks like it would be thin on the low side and thicker on the high side. That must have been quite a challenge.

  8. Dave - I turn it on center when I'm doing the top... so the bottom ends up just like the top. Then I go back to the other axis and turn a tenon on the bottom. I have a few pics I took along the way.

    Now I will say this, when I started on this piece I had something different in mind, which is why I put a tenon on it as I rounded it up. Then I decided to do the biaxial turning.
