    Biggest yet

    I made this bowl over the holidays...5 Inch Mesquite Bowl 1resized.jpgmy biggest yet, though tiny in comparison to some of the monsters I see here. It's around 5" wide,and about 3 1/2" tall from a piece of air dried mesquite(reportedly dried for around ten years). Walls are sort of thick, at around 3/8" but it suits the form(IMHO), it was originally intended as a lidded bowl. but the other end of the chunk was so punky it disintegrated. Best laid plans, eh?

    That's cool, Mick! The form has a real Hawaiian feel for me... Nice work!

    That is a nice bowl. Thick walls are good IMHO. Well done.
