This is what I did with my dust collection closet. It is running and was pulling sawdust from a box as it took the picture. I wanted to see if there was a bunch of dust flying around. It works very well so far.

Now when i want to change the bag I just pull out the whole can and take it to the curb and put in the spare can. No more expensive plastic dust bags. I can just use regular thin refuse bags. The quality

doesn't matter because its supported by the can.

I took the motor and fan off its stand and placed it near the ceiling. I built a wooden holder to change the orientation so the exhaust side wouldn't be facing straight up. This way it makes more room and cuts out about 8' of pipe.

This set up does create static charge which was never a problem before. the aluminum riser I made gets charged up instantly.
