    Took delivery on the 1642

    Jet 1642 just arrived got it in pieces in the basement now. Pics to come and hopefully be turning this time tomorrow(stupid work)!

    Woo Hoo!! Gratz Brian! I really think the 1642 is under-rated. Weighted down and balanced, it's hard to beat for the price. I'm still adjusting to the abilities of mine and haven't even chipped the paint (for JK). Enjoy!!

    Congrats! I've never turned on one, but I drooled on one at a Woodcraft store... If yours has a rusted spot on the ways, it could be the same lathe!

    You've had plenty of time to put it together so where is the pics??????????????????????? Mine was running after about 2 hrs of being home. I had the whole family helping put it together. Quit hiding it and lets see.......
